On Tuesday (Oct. 4) the R/V Thomas G. Thompson crossed the bar in Yaquina Bay and moored to the pier at the NOAA Marine Operations Center in Newport. With that, the second leg was completed, and the Endurance 17 Expedition came to a successful end. All objectives have been completed, and the Coastal Endurance Array is ready to record the next six months of oceanographic data in the North Pacific.
